Alternative banner for this article?
[edit]In the Hebrew Wikivoyage we are currently using this banner instead of the one which is currently used here. Do you think too that this banner would would better than the existing one? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 15:33, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Sure. That's much nicer. Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:50, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
Redundant content
[edit]It seems Crete is treated like a country in WV! I will merge Greece level content up to Greece Andrewssi2 (talk) 08:39, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
How not to place photos and maps on articles
[edit]Just stumbled on this page and was about to fix the formatting issues, but I'd first like to invite you all to have a look at this textbook example of how not to place pictures and maps on an article.
The dynamic map looks like it is dropped in the middle of a listing (either #1 or #2 depending on how wide the browser window is). After this there are 8 photos crammed in after each other, cutting through several heading lines. This is followed by a completely photoless area. Then there are three pics crammed together in See spilling over into Do and the rest of the article is entirely photoless as well. The only thing that could make the formatting even worse would be left-aligned photos at the same level as other photos, cramming the text together like a hourglass.
Yup, I'll clean up the article later on but I just wanted to show how bad articles can end up when some editor probably just has added a stash of photos and saved the article without looking at the result. ϒpsilon (talk) 13:04, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
