Taros Restaurant

[edit]

Looks like a Tout listing, originally formatted so it had undue precedence, before the list and it was described very positively. It was also duplicated in "drink".

Since there aren't many "drink" listings I'm not sure if it should be listed in both "eat" and "drink". —The preceding comment was added by Willthewanderer (talkcontribs)

Per Wikivoyage:Don't tout, the same business should not have listings in more than one section. (Also, parenthetically, please sign your posts on talk pages by typing 4 tildes [~] in a row at the end of each post.)

notes on hashish in "drink"

[edit]

Also, should notes on hashish smoking be moved from "drink"? I get why they were put there, but I would be inclined to remove them completely to comply with the wiki policy on illegal activities.

Perhaps a prudent middle ground would be to write it as a note in "stay safe", so the information is still there but it's still clear nobody is encouraging the behavior —The preceding comment was added by Willthewanderer (talkcontribs)

If hashish is illegal in Morocco, your suggestion sounds sensible to me, too. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:13, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hashish is illegal in Morocco much in the same way prostitution is illegal in Thailand. Technically illegal but widely tolerated. w:Cannabis_in_Morocco
I'm not going to offer an opinion, just state that the situation isn't completely clear cut. Andrewssi2 (talk) 07:49, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I went ahead and moved the note to "stay safe", I tried to balance the legal caution with the reality of enforcement, because it is grey. I hope it is clear that A. hash is illegal B. everyone smokes it anyway C. even though everyone smokes it, respect should be shown.

In the "stay safe" section I hope it is clear Wikivoyage isn't advertising narcotics in any way, so we can comply with our legal obligations.
