Advertising image?

What is the rationale for inserting an image of an inn? Because it's also a photo of the Amtrak flag stop? I think this may be a borderline case for acceptability under the prohibition against advertising images. Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:37, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

Replying to myself: I note that the inn is on the Register of Historic Places in the US, which would seem to clinch any argument as to the significance of the inn itself as a notable sight, and thereby quite proper to include in a photograph in this article. Proposed merger

It has been proposed that this article with its two inns be merged into West Glacier, which is a 30-minute drive away. I think this information would be more useful for readers merged into that article. Ground Zero (talk) 19:20, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

I just looked at Tripadvisor to see whether a little work could whip this into an interesting article. Based on these results, I'm unconvinced. However, there are also three listed places to eat and 10 places to stay, though. So I think if someone wanted to do the work, they could turn this into a viable article, and that would be the best solution. However, I'm on the road and lack the motivation to do this work, at least for now, so I support you in doing for now whatever you think best. My only caveat is please hide rather than just moving all the content, in case I feel inspired to turn this into a better article some time later. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:48, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
