What's a Mongol Rally?[edit]

It is mentioned in the (currently) last paragraph of the article as if one had to know what that is... So what is it? Some kind of rich folks driving cars through the mud event? Or something like a "visa-rally" where you cross a border and than immediately go back to get a new tourist visa? Or something else entirely? I was also curious about it after I first saw its name here, and googling it showed that there is a Wikipedia article about it. Vidimian (talk) 07:27, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Price of the Baku-Actau ferry[edit]

It seems the price of this has risen dramatically to a clearly inflated level, and the level of disoorganisation at the baku port would push me as far as to recomend ad-hoc routes. I also took a try at registering as a second driver after befriending truck drivers at the port, they were willing but the port officials wouldn't allow it. That being said, it was a close thing and if I spoke more than two words of russian it might be possible.

The Baku side seems to only accept US dollars, even though nobody on either side of the caspian uses them; but I'm not sure if this is only the alat office, Euros were not accepted either much to my surprise.

By all means go ahead and update everything you notice needs updating, especially given that this apparently is an off the beaten path-part of the world, wherefore it may take a while until the next Wikivoyager sets foot there plus most likely there's relatively little information elsewhere online.
