Aren’t restaurants supposed to go in “eat” while homestays in “sleep”? —The preceding comment was added by SHB2000 (talkcontribs)

Most of the homestays provide both services in the Loktak lake. —The preceding comment was added by Haoreima (talkcontribs)
Okay, but shouldn't this then go in Loktak Lake then? @Ikan Kekek:? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 07:35, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
User:Haoreima, normally, a single business is listed either in "Sleep" or "Eat," not both, but if every place that will be listed is both to an equal degree, you can have an "Eat, Drink and Sleep" section - it would be a first, but I think it would be OK. My question is why this article exists, and also, why you created so many regions for Manipur and yet have Loktak Lake as an extra-region. I think that unless you have a good reason to create dozens and dozens of articles about places in Manipur, you have created too many regions. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:52, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Sure, I will add that section once I complete the description of each floating restaurants and homestays. And about creating other articles, I will fill up the due information about them too as soon as possible. :) --Haoreima (talk) 07:54, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
You're keeping in mind Wikivoyage:What is an article, right? And to be clear, I believe all the contents of this article should be in Loktak Lake or the articles for the nearest towns. Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:22, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Haoreima, can you please explain why this article is needed and these listings shouldn't be moved to Loktak Lake or the article(s) for the nearest town(s)? Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:19, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ikan Kekek I created this article inspired by Kerala Backwaters. I wish this article to be a self sufficient, independent from others. To be independent from Loktak lake completely, I think we can move the article name from "in the Loktak lake" to "in Manipur", with which I will add other things from other water bodies of Manipur besides Loktak lake. --Haoreima (talk) 05:44, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Kerala Backwaters does not focus squarely on restaurants and homestays. The problem with that focus is that it screams "Eat listings" and "Sleep listings." Are you saying you'd like this article to be a topic article on "Lakes in Manipur"? I'm not sure I get why that topic is needed - the Backwaters in Kerala are described as all being connected to one another; are these lakes all connected? Why can't each lake be covered separately in the article for the nearest town, and why wouldn't that make it easier for travelers to find the information they're looking for? But in any case, if you want to focus specifically on Eat/Sleep, why does that merit its own article? Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:19, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ikan Kekek No, I mean "Floating restaurants and homestays in Manipur" instead of "Floating restaurants and homestays in Loktak lake". --Haoreima (talk) 07:32, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
So they're all floating. Is that a cohesive topic article, or should each one just be listed separately in the article for the nearest town, or the lake if it has an article? Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:00, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ikan Kekek Cohesive topic! --Haoreima (talk) 09:03, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
The idea is that this is a type of accommodation, like Ryokan, or is the idea to have an article that's a repository of templated listings for accommodations throughout the state, which is what I'm concerned about? Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:07, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ikan Kekek Yes, like Ryokan! :-) --Haoreima (talk) 09:33, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
OK. So where will the listings be? Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:19, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Would it make more sense to merge this into Loktak Lake then? SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:12, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I still don't understand why there are listings, let alone so many listings, in this article, and also why they're "See" listings. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:38, 29 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
