Prices[edit]

Why are the prices in this article listed in USD? Unless the establishments favour USD over CAD (which is rather strange for Canada), wouldn't it be more intuitive to list the prices in CAD? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 05:47, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Check their websites. Both of these fly-in lodges quotes prices in US$. From this we can deduce that they cater primarily or exclusively to an international clientele. Ground Zero (talk) 08:44, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I still find that strange, though. Were I to visit Four Corners, I would be more likely to pay in CAD than USD, so I don't understand why they'd post their prices in USD unless they're specifically targetting US visitors. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 08:59, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's it. You're not going to arrive here from Lynn Lake, or even Flin Flon. You're arriving from the U.S., or Germany, or Japan, transiting at the Winnipeg airport, and may not even stop to withdraw C$ from a bank machine. Then you'll fly home. No need for C$ at all. Right, I see. Am I an outlier in exchanging my cash at Flight Centre before departing (unless I'm transiting through Singapore)? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 09:51, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Does Flight Centre offer better rates than the Visa or Mastercard rate? (I don't think they even offer foreign exchange in Canada.) Ground Zero (talk) 10:55, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At least the Flight Centres in Australia offer a slightly discounted rate (thanks to CBA credits). --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 10:58, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
