Extra hierarchical region?
[edit]I believe that this should more be a rural area or a park rather than an extraregion. Not only does this not fall out of out hierarchy, but Macquarie Island, a similar looking article about a similar place. Unlike Tibetian empire or German East Africa, FSAL actually exists today. I would've changed it myself, but I'd want to know what other people think here. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 08:20, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- The problem is that this territory includes the land on Antarctica that France claims, but under the operating Antarctic Treaty, they don't actually administer it. Therefore, this can't be in the breadcrumb hierarchy as it stands. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:31, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- But this article is just about the islands. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 08:37, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Nope. Look at the "Regions" section. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:03, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oops. Missed the Adélie Land. My bad. Sorry about that. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 09:51, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Another solution would be to mention that this article only covers the internationally recognised claims, with a hatnote to say Adélie Land is covered under East Antarctica. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 09:15, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
