Definition[edit]

Does anyone else find it rather pedantic to give a stiff definition of gambling in the first line? I don't think we actually need to teach people what gambling is, do we? Texugo (talk) 14:25, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you. Moreover, if you really don't know what gambling is, using "wagering" in the definition isn't likely to help you. Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:31, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Destinations[edit]

What destinations should be listed? Of course Las Vegas, Macau and Monaco (and what I heard, Vladivostok seems a good candidate), but listing Sweden and Norway seems odd.

There are venues in the Nordic countries, but I wonder if anyone from abroad would be impressed by the casinos. The Baltic ferries probably count in the same series. The Nordic horse betting scene is an other story and may be interesting for those into such things, I suppose, but hardly for the average gambling tourist.

Are we trying to make a guide on what gambling opportunities there are in places you might visit, or point out especially famous (or nice or whatever) gambling destinations worldwide? I suppose we do not want to clutter every country article with info on gambling opportunities, but I am also not sure we need to cover the topic comprehensively at all.
