Gun laws in Prepare[edit]

I really find it hard to conceptualize as to why a traveler needs to be carrying guns when hiking in § Prepare and the only reason I can think of is dangerous animals. I get that the US has some of the most lax laws regarding firearms, but there are other countries with stricter gun laws and have more dangerous animals and if it were to be there, a bit more context should be given, because most non-US readers will be confused on what that means. I'd do this myself, but I would prefer if someone from the US confirms that that is what it means. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 10:46, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

So people hunt in the US for recreation while hiking??? SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 21:35, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't, but both are recreational sports in the U.S., so it wouldn't be surprising to mix them. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:41, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
