Talk:Israel National Trail
Add topicIt's unusual that we get this much text in one edit, but I'm not finding any of the tell-tale signs that this is copied from somewhere else. Any ideas? Also, we really need some work getting this into shape as an itinerary. --(WT-en) Evan 14:09, 8 December 2006 (EST)
"How much water should one carry?
Until one gets to Arad traveling southward (assuming no abnormally hot conditions), five liters per person per day should be enough "
that's a lot of water . i traveled the trail 2 years ago , the formal recomendation (of the SPNY) is to carry 3 litters of water and to fill them up to the max on every good water source (shops, settlements and nightcamps). 5 liters are too much .
What kind of maps and books are there? section
[edit]I have a problem with this section and believe it should be deleted. Apart from the grotesque frontlinked format, it seems to have been set up for advertising purposes. OK to delete? --(WT-en) Burmesedays 23:55, 6 March 2010 (EST)
- Reading on, the whole article seems to be full of inapproprtiate external links. Needs a clean up as well as the obvious product advertising being deleted. --(WT-en) Burmesedays 00:04, 7 March 2010 (EST)
This article needs a lot of work
[edit]It feels like it might have a lot of copypasta, and the format is non-Wikivoyage. User:Tamuz, if you have the time, please look at this. But since he probably doesn't have the time, User: ויקיג'אנקי, would you be able to help? User:Buzzy? Anyone else? Ikan Kekek (talk) 13:46, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
- I've looked at it before. This article is virtually empty, it just has a few tips and links. The Hebrew page is no better at the moment. This is a big subject and will take a LOT of work to bring it to a Guide status. I'll try to keep it in my mind and maybe make some additions here and there, but as you anticipated, I probably won't have the time to make large contributions. Resources
[edit]In general we only link official sites (see Wikivoyage:External links). The section Resources seems to violate this guideline. Some of the links may be valuable, but what's useful information in some of them should be included in the article instead.
Should the link list remain in the article for the time being (until links are given better context or the list just laundered) or should it be moved here now, with content (and some links) added to the article as the article is developed? Being in the article, I fear the list can develop into a link farm.
