Kalamata olives[edit]

When I see the name "Kalamata," I immediately think "olives." Where is the best place in the article to mention them? Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:45, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In the lede. I'm the same- I immediately think of olives, so it's worth saying it straight out and letting travellers know that this is the olive place. Or mention it and dismiss it as a misperception if olives aren't really that big here. Articles should always begin by talking about what they're famous for. Giza talks about the pyramids, Redmond talks about Microsoft, Mogadishu talks about war. James Atalk 11:52, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So we need to know whether Kalamata olives really are big - or even grown - in Kalamata. Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:07, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
