Per w:Kigali International Airport, this airport handles less than 1.2 million passengers a year. I think that's way too low to qualify as a "Huge Airport" per Wikivoyage:Airport Expedition#Article criteria or Wikivoyage talk:Airport Expedition#Guidelines as to when an airport deserves an article. Is there any reason not to merge and redirect to Kigali#By plane? Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:08, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

User:IGANZE, I'd welcome your opinion after you've read the links I posted above. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:09, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I agree. While there have always been plans to make this airport a hub, it's not the case now and it won't be for some time. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 00:10, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so Much for correction, I made kigali international airport because it is the 7th in the Region of Africa using this link ːKigali airport (aeroport-kigali.com)
But it is because I did not check well the Article Criteria, if it is about passenger then I am wrong.
I think, I can redirect it to Kigali#By plane IGANZE (talk) 12:18, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
All completely understandable, and thanks again for adding content, which can be in the Kigali article. Ikan Kekek (talk) 14:31, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'd say merge into Kigali#By plane. The dog2 (talk) 21:05, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Completing merge

[edit]

I've merged much of the content from this article to Kigali#By plane. I could use some help moving the hotels to the right price categories in Kigali#Sleep. Is there anything else that should be moved before this article is turned into a redirect? What do you think, IGANZE, SHB2000, The dog2, anyone else? Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:00, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'd say the listing on car rental, provided we can verify that it still exists. The dog2 (talk) 23:42, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Apart from what The dog2 mentioned, LGTM. Thank you for completing the merge, Ikan Kekek! SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 05:50, 3 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sure thing, though the merge is incomplete because I don't know where to put the hotels. The car rental could always be moved to the talk page of Kigali, and I guess the same thing could be done with the hotel listings, but I think the latter would be bad. I just don't know what the price categories in Kigali#Sleep represent in terms of the cost of a double room. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:10, 3 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
This long later, what do we do with the hotels? I would say keep them in a subsection of Kigali#Sleep; when this article becomes large enough to warrant districts, I suppose a separate district could be created for the airport (similar to Canberra/Airport and East). If we could define price ranges for the existing hotel listings in Kigali, we could look up the prices for rooms in the hotels listed here and appropriately categorize them in the relevant sections of the Kigali article. But I fear that anyone who would know how to do this is not interested in participating. Ikan Kekek (talk) 15:00, 11 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
I fear the same, too. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 02:20, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
As a last resort, we could just move the listings to Talk:Kigali and turn this article into a redirect. What do you think? Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:53, 12 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
We should probably do that. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 09:05, 12 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Done. Redirected. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:53, 17 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
