Talk:Lutsk
History
[edit]So far, I have just been improving the English — one howlingly funny error, "the intestine fights between...", and lots of quite minor ones — and reducing excess verbiage.
However, I think the section needs drastic shortening. We link to both Wikipedia and the tourist bureau site, so only a brief (about two short paragraphs) overview is needed here; anyone who wants the details can follow the links.
Does anyone want to comment or object before I attack it? Pashley (talk) 14:54, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- That sounds about right to me. Go for it. Texugo (talk) 15:00, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- Done. I ended up with 8 paragraphs — thinking two would work for a thousand-year history was rather dumb — but much shorter & I think easier reading than the original. Pashley (talk) 17:50, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
Names
[edit]w:Lutsk gives names in Polish & Belarusian. Are there others, perhaps Russian or even Tartar? They should be mentioned here and redirects created so a user who searches for a different name will find this article. I won't try to do that since I have no idea how to handle the character sets involved, but someone should. Pashley (talk) 18:49, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- I did redirects for the other transliterations given on the WP page, but did not add other names in the article. Pashley (talk) 19:42, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
