The regionalization of the Poconos and Endless Mountains article is somewhat of a mess. It only seems to talk about the Poconos while the Endless Mountains only get a brief mention. Also. Pottsville in Schuylkill County is breadcrumbed to that region, even though the Wikivoyage map of Pennsylvania shows Schuylkill County in a different region. Here's how I would like this region to be broken down:

• Northeastern Pennsylvania (rename from Poconos and Endless Mountains)
  • Coal Region
    • Carbon County
    • Lackawanna County
    • Luzerne County
    • Schuylkill County
  • Endless Mountains
    • Bradford County
    • Sullivan County
    • Susquehanna County
    • Wyoming County
  • Pocono Mountains
    • Monroe County
    • Pike County
    • Wayne County

Carbon County may also be considered to be part of the Pocono Mountains region, but I don't know if the status quo should be changed for that county. I originally pointed out an issue on the article's talk page, but since that didn't receive any replies, I decided to post it here. JsfasdF252 (talk) 18:41, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

@JsfasdF252, I'm willing to defer to your greater knowledge of the region. I just want to add a side note that I went through the regions of Iowa a little while ago, and I found that listing out the names of the counties was really handy. It helped me find a misplaced attraction or two. It sounds like Pottsville may be an example of that. IMO naming the counties in US rural areas also serves the traveller. A traveller would be most likely to visit one of the bigger cities, but when you're in the rural areas, the county takes precedence (especially for severe weather warnings). You don't travel to "the pipeline a few miles outside of Tiny Town"; you travel to "the pipeline in Rural County". WhatamIdoing (talk) 16:55, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
