Criteria for separate article ?[edit]

I am surprised when the notice was put up on criteria for separate article . As far as Andhra Pradesh is concerned its a state of the equal size of some major european countries . Dumping all information on one page isn't healthy . Anyways I have taken up the article as an expansion of Khammam_(district) . Its a geographically separate area and a tourist destination . It meets the criterion of having places to stay . --Pavithrans (talk) 01:58, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The policy page is what is an article. My advice to you, though, is to keep developing this article, and while you do so, add all the missing sections of the Wikivoyage:Region article template. If the article is well-developed, I doubt anyone will merge it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:47, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think this should be merged, (and if it were, it surely should be with Khammam (district) rather than the indeed huge region of Andhra Pradesh). My question would be, however, is this some sort of official region? Or is it a river gorge that functions as a tourist destination? Both could be quite acceptable - I would just like to understand. Seems like someone at Wikipedia thinks the place is not notable, but that's not holy for us I guess, and from the very short article there, they might not have a clear idea. I agree and since that is the consensus after 3 days, I am removing the inadequate template. If anyone can advance a counter argument, they can restore an amended template that makes clearer the proposition that general info should be moved to Andhra Pradesh, and specific tour info to the 3 cities named - since this place is marked as not even notable enough for Wikipedia. --118.93nzp (talk) 07:55, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
