"23 July"
[edit]@Grahamsands: Great job!
Does "23 July" refer to a street? --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:42, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- Never mind, I see that that name is explained in the article. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:44, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, 23 July 1952 is the date Nasser and other officers overthrew King Faroukh, I'll add that in. It would be clearer if it could be called 23 July Street, Avenue, Boulevard etc, but it's unclear which designation is used. As el-Geish it was "sharia" usually translated as "street" so I'll go with that. Its continuation into Port Tawfiq has no name on Google Map. As the city has scant attraction for tourism or as a port of transit, visitors will be on industrial business or have family. Grahamsands (talk) 07:56, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation! That will definitely help. I would include "street" or "road" in listings for clarity; if it's not part of the official road, it can of course go in lowercase. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 15:16, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Move to Suez?
[edit]The name "Port Suez" is extremely uncommon. "Suez" is used in Maps, Wikipedia and common language. Any reason not to move the article? Ma7ged (talk) 19:24, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- You are correct: Port Suez should be only named Suez. Please have a look to Wikidata, too. --RolandUnger (talk) 05:22, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
