Merge tag

Hi, Texugo! I saw you just added a merge tag for Roslagen. Actually part of it should be merged into Uppsala County and part of it into Stockholm County, and there are a couple of other articles in the region that need/will be merged and moved too. This is because me and Prince were untangling the region and district division of Stockholm and surroundings about a month ago and the job is not finished yet. Yeah, I was thinking that might be the case, but the merge tag currently only allows for one parameter (maybe that should be changed). Anyway, better to be tagged a little imprecisely than to risk losing track of it, I guess. Texugo (talk) 19:20, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Recreate article?

In my opinion it would be better to have Roslagen as an extraregion, rather than as a redirect. First, the area overlaps both Uppsala County and Stockholm County, so it is somewhat misleading to redirect to Uppsala County. If anything, it should redirect to Svealand. Secondly, the area is mentioned in several of our other articles, so it would be handy to have one article where this term is explained in more detail. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the area has a strong regional cultural identity, and often markets itself to tourists as a region, so it "makes sense" for us have an article covering the region.

Rather than writing a new article from scratch, I suggest that we save ourselves some effort by recreating the last version of the article, and use it as a frame to develop. I ping Prince Gloria, ϒpsilon and Texugo, who were all involved in the 2014 merger, so that you can give your opinion on the matter. MartinJacobson (talk) 12:33, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
