Talk:Saint-Siméon

From Wikivoyage
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This page appears to be named inconsistently with other Wikivoyage articles. Rather than identifying the province in brackets, which is the practice for other Canadian articles including North Shore (Quebec), it identifies Charlevoix in brackets. Further, nobody outside of Quebec will reasonably know where Charlevoix is located in the world.

Therefore, proposing to re-name this page as Saint-Siméon (Quebec)

You raise a good point, but as there is no article entitled Saint-Siméon, no disambiguation at all is needed. Ground Zero (talk) 01:30, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Good point, that works better Pauldsgg (talk) 02:44, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ground Zero, Pauldsgg: Unfortunately, Veillg1 continues to unnecessarily disambiguate pages despite numerous discussions with them to stop unnecessarily disambiguating things, both on the English and French Wikivoyages. I sort of gave up following up their edits on fr.voy and let Omondi do that job. I've now renamed the article per Wikivoyage:Naming conventions#Disambiguation and this discussion and as far as I'm aware, the only disambiguator that I'm aware of that is an exception is Great Sandy National Park (Cooloola), and this seemed to be an outlier. Thanks for picking this up Pauldsgg :-). SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 08:12, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
