Redirect?

[edit]

This article currently has no information relevant to travel and, unlike WP, we are not an encyclopedia so there is no reason to try and cover everything. It should go.

Policy is to redirect articles on real places rather than delete them, so I'd say both this and 'Shahbazpur Town' should be redirected. I'm not sure if Brahmanbaria District (another almost empty article) is the right target or if all three should redirect to Chittagong Division. Other opinions? I'm not sure of the policies here, whether it is desirable to have a page about each of the levels in the administration hierarchies. Brahmanbaria is a significant town, and perhaps Brahmanbaria District could be renamed to Brahmanbaria, to become a page about the town and what one might want to see there, something similar to the page on Chittagong. Shabhazpur Town is a misnomer, since a Town in Bangladesh has a special meaning as a place administered by a municipal corporation (cities have city corporations). The principal meaning of Shabazpur would be, I believe, the river (one of the entries in the Wikipedia disambiguation), which is in Bhola district of Barisal Division.
If pages about the lower-level administrative units are not wanted here, then I agree that redirecting Brahmanbaria District to Chittagong Division would be an improvement, and perhaps Shabhazpur Town could be deleted (it can be seen on google maps, I believe because it was added here and in wikipedia). Regional articles on this site are created only where they benefit the traveller, and no effort is made to have articles for every country, department, district, township, and borough. As it stands, there is no travel-related content in this article. By all means, start an article about Brahmanbaria town if you have substantial travel-related information to include in it. The following text was in the Gujrat District & News Media article and needs to be incorporated into this article.

Shahbazpur (Urdu: شہباز پور‎) is a place situated in the district of Gujrat, Pakistan. Chenab passes through the eastern border of this place.

Shahbazpur directly connected to Highway road. Construction of the bridge had been planned during the PML-Q government in Punjab. The then chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had allocated funds and the then president retired Gen Pervez Musharraf laid the foundation stone. Elahi had also established the University of Gujrat near Jalalpur Jattan city to link it with Sialkot through Shahbazpur. The Defence Road and the proposed site for the bridge were located only a few kilometres away from the university’s Hafiz Hayat campus.
