Holy smokes! I don't think the Help section on How to add an image is step-by-step! I've successfully uploaded an image to Shared (can't seem to find it using the search function though) but not sure how to get it on the article...(WT-en) Zepppep 18:00, 4 January 2010 (EST)

You almost had it right, the JPG is case sensitive, so I changed it to all caps and it works (I also added a 250px size parameter, the standard for all but the lead image in the article). However a problem still remains.... you need to open the image in an image editor on your computer and rotate it so that it isn't sideways.... that's not doable within the site :) – (WT-en) cacahuate ^talk 18:15, 4 January 2010 (EST)

Thank you very much! But apparently by keeping the same name, I can't delete the old file on Shared. Now I see WT is pulling the file incorrectly, perhaps. If you look at Shared, New Gallery Posts, you'll see I've adjusted the direction of the picture and saved that one yet this article is still using the horizontal (original) file.(WT-en) Zepppep 12:43, 5 January 2010 (EST)

It appears corrected now. I made it even smaller, to 150, and magically it made the pic vertical...feel free to revert it to 250 if you'd like (or let me know and I can do it...just not sure if that'll change it back to vertical).

Page banner

Does anyone else think that the banner image is a little wrong for the district? The Waibaidu Bridge and Russian Consulate, while technically within the Hongkou District, are really more associated with the Bund and Huangpu just to the south. Perhaps it would be better to have a banner evoking Lu Xun Park, which seems to be the feature of Hongkou most recommended to travelers. I think this image has potential for that. 19:31, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
