Merge?[edit]

This is tagged for merging but I'd like to remove the tag.

Shanghai has three of these traditional-style Shanghai#Water_towns, all fairly popular areas for both locals & tourists. Currently one (Shanghai/Zhujiajiao) has a fairly complete article, one (Shanghai/Fengjing) is just a redirect to the district it is in, and Qibao is somewhere between; there is an article but it is quite weak. As I see it, we should hope to eventually have good articles for all three. Pashley (talk) 12:36, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the merge tag. I thought it might be too small to constitute a single article. Globe-trotter (talk) 20:52, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merge v2[edit]

Can we please merge this with Shanghai/Minhang ? Andrewssi2 (talk) 08:55, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. If we get enough material on it we can always spin it out into a separate article again. Pashley (talk) 13:56, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I think the merge would be a good idea. See Talk:Shanghai#Getting_to_guide.3F; we cannot promote the city article to Guide or nominate it for DotM until all district articles are at Usable. The merge would get rid of one outline district, Qibao, and get another, Minhang, closer to Usable. Pashley (talk) 20:05, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I finally got around to visiting here today! I think it is fair to merge into Minhang now. I'll get started later. Andrewssi2 (talk) 09:29, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
