Ministry of Sound listings[edit]

I wondering why a Ministry of Sound listing appeared in the listing, as long as it is merely based in Pacha (according to address). I added Pacha itself to the listing, and vote for removal of Ministry of Sound if noone appear to explain what it is actually about. For now, I only removed URL (http://www.djmenno.com) from Ministry of Sound listing, as long as they don't seem to be related in any way. --(WT-en) DenisYurkin 16:56, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

Diving: safari and operators[edit]

I have a question on the following piece:

Smarter divers book a diving safari. This way you avoid the crowds at the popular spots and have the possibility to dive beautiful reefs way beyond the reach of any daytripping boats. The overall costs of a diving safari does not exceed daily diving and it saves you a lot of stress.

Can we give a more detailed description of what's diving safari is really all about? Right now it's very unclear what's difference between safari and daily diving.

And when we list Reputable operators include:, do we mean only operators for safari, or for any diving activities? --(WT-en) DenisYurkin 17:11, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

Phone, time data?[edit]

Why not to print how to call there, what timezone there is etc.? 83.167.100.5 16:33, 13 May 2007 (EDT)

You can add a section called "contact" between "sleep" and "get out" which can have a local dialing code, if it's specific to Sharm. The timezone info and anything that applies to the whole country should be (and is) on the Egypt page. – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 17:56, 13 May 2007 (EDT)

Lebanese cuisine at Fawanes[edit]

I restored "Lebanese cuisine" for Fawanes Cafe. Ansary, could you please explain why you've removed it? Fawanes does declare that it has Lebanese cuisine--if reality doesn't meet this declaration, could you please explain why?

BTW, please review Project:Don't tout and Project:Be fair for the description of Beirut Bay, as currently it's very touting. --(WT-en) DenisYurkin 05:26, 23 June 2007 (EDT)

dining in Naama Bay if you stay in non-Naama hotel[edit]

Re this edit [1] I wonder for which hotels does this statement applies:

taxis tend to be an expensive way to get in and out of Na'ama bay at night

As far as I know, taxi from/to most of the outside-of-Naama hotels is quite cheap (at least, it used to be in March 2007). For now, I am reverting this piece to the previous version. --(WT-en) DenisYurkin 16:14, 21 September 2008 (EDT)

Downed Russian plane[edit]

Should a Warningbox be added to this page after the matter of the downed Russian plane which has caused the British government to stop all flights over the Sinai peninsular because it may have been a bomb by ISIS. Seeing as British tourists are stranded in Sinai/Sharm el Sheikh, a warning letting people know what is happening would be good, wouldn't it?  Seagull123  Φ  18:19, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If it provides useful info that allows visitors to this area to make informed decisions then go ahead, but if we're just responding to a news item and posting generic text that summarizes news reports ("this region may or may not be dangerous because a plane crashed here"), I don't think that would be of use to visitors. -- Ryan • (talk) • 19:00, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
But in this case, the news also includes flight cancellations, which are surely important to travellers. Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:12, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
