Not really helpful I know, anyway... "How to Visit Shropshire" - http://csteinbach.com/steve

Edits made by anonymous IP user[edit]

I have reverted the edits made by a user with three different IP addresses. After the first revert, I went to the first user's talk page to explain my reasoning. This was ignored, and two further attempts to reinstate the edits have been made using different IP addresses. I have invited the latest IP to come and chat, so we can resolve this without an edit war.

So my rationale is that the user's edits don't add any new content to the page, and also make the tone dryer and less informal. Furthermore, I don't understand the insistence on retaining "With over 90 attractions to visit, with some being:", which is clearly a grammatically-incorrect construction, over a full sentence such as "Shropshire has over 90 attractions to visit, with the best being:" There is also no question over whether WV lists the best attractions!

Hopefully, we can come to an agreement. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 20:44, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why "over 90 attractions" in the first place? How do you count them? Who counts them? Hobbitschuster (talk) 21:47, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Good point. Presumably the original author got the figure from somewhere, but the source is long-forgotten. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 21:50, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Even if there were no SEO concerns, it would be a good idea to get rid of this sentence, then. Hobbitschuster (talk) 21:51, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Who knows where the idea originated, but I just googled and it's certainly doing, the, rounds on other travel sites. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 21:54, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
