Talk:Stein bei Nürnberg

I have never heard of anybody refering to this place as "Stein (Mittelfranken)" but I have heard the term "Stein bei Nürnberg" used quite often. Should me move it? Stein am Rhein isn't found under Stein (Switzerland), either. Hobbitschuster (talk) 16:28, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the same applies to Stein am Rhein, that is the only name ever used for that town, especially since there is another rather famous Swiss Stein in Appenzell (which to make matters worse is sometimes written as Stein AR). This is currently covered under Appenzell, as there are no other articles yet for that region. So I think moving this article to Stein bei Nürnberg would avoid some confusion around this and would be a good idea.
On a related point, should we set up a disambiguation page for Stein? Looking at the Wikipedia disambiguation page w:Stein or w:de:Stein_(Begriffsklärung) there are many places called Stein, although so far those two mentioned above seem to be the only ones with articles. We might, given that we now have two such places with proper articles. But I would argue against it being a long list of redlinks. Hobbitschuster (talk) 15:00, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
