Naming consistency[edit]

So is it "Storms River" or "Stormsriver"? The page title and body text have it as two words, while the map and photo captions have it as one. What gives? (WT-en) Texugo 09:38, 8 March 2010 (EST)

A Google search implies it is Storms River and that's the way User:(WT-en) Babbelas spells it. I guess he should know.--(WT-en) Burmesedays 11:13, 8 March 2010 (EST)
Storms River people don't know it either, even the Afrikaans Stormsrivier is still common, by using Stormsriver next to Storms River, the search engines won't have problems finding the page. Does Google understand that Stormsriver is Storms River? - (WT-en) Babbelas 11:23, 8 March 2010 (EST)
Doing a Google for stormsriver throws up the Storms River link as the 3rd hit, and highlights the text hit as 2 words, so it seems to know stormsriver > Storms River. Interestingly, it does the same with a search for storms river. So yes Babbelas, it does seem to know they are the same :) On saying that, there are only 98,700 results for stormsriver, compared to 1,290,000 for storms river. Split words always have more (inaccurate) results! - (WT-en) Babbelas 11:36, 8 March 2010 (EST)
Please standarise it as Storms River. You can of course show the two alternative spellings in brackets at the top of the article as is normal. We should surely not have a destination name spelt in different ways in the same article? --(WT-en) Burmesedays 21:58, 8 March 2010 (EST)
When I return to Stormsriver/Storms River, I will make a picture of the official road sign pointing towards town, to confirm the final spelling. - (WT-en) Babbelas 05:24, 9 March 2010 (EST)
