Galleries[edit]

The use of galleries is frowned upon on this site, and for the good reason that I notice in this article: Many of the savory dishes and desserts shown in very small photos in the galleries are not really identifiable at that size. In that sense, more is really less. So my suggestion would be, use a smaller number of really useful photos at full thumbnail size, put one in Iranian Azerbaijan, and consider adding a good deal more about Azeri cuisine in that article, thereby making room for another photo there. And then get rid of the galleries in this article. Ikan Kekek (talk) 13:19, 13 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Money and sanctions[edit]

I'd be surprised if this is still true, and if it isn't, the "Stay safe/Money" subsection should be edited accordingly:

Due to sanctions there is no active international credit card services inside Tabriz or other Iranian cities.

Doubt is being cast on the originality of the work. I expect these files to be deleted, and if they are for that reason, I don't think we have a good reason to upload them locally. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:31, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There's no chance of keeping them. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | en.wikipedia) 08:48, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I see that the only basis for the claims is the relatively (not extremely) small sizes of the files. I would be surprised if any of the 3 is deleted. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:45, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And...Tabriz Terminal.jpg was deleted for lack of FoP in Iran, not a reason given in the deletion nomination thread. There's no substitute in Commons, so for now, I think we have to delete the hole in the article. Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:05, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I just uploaded that image locally so we're not screwed after all :) SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:15, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
