Merger proposal 9 October 2022

• Thar Desert → Rajasthan

This article has remained undeveloped for a long time and it is unlikely to ever become useful for travellers, even as an extraregion. Besides, it mostly overlaps with Rajasthan and other parts (Pakistani, Punjabi or whatever) can be easily ignored or can be covered in respective guides. Merge away if you like. I haven't been in many (many) years. Seems like this would be covered by various tour listings under Jaisalmer#Do, and not a full article. ButteBag (talk) 20:01, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

I'm a bit late to the discussion, but I agree that a merger was due. FWIW, I've known that Rajasthan is known for its desert, but I didn't know that the desert was called the Thar Desert (I thought it was called the Rajasthan Desert).
