@Ground Zero:, I've changed it to Australian. SHB2000 (talk) 22:40, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Time format

Like any other Pacific Island British colony, Tuvalu uses 12 hr clock, not 24. No British or American former colonies uses 24 from what I know, and Tuvalu uses almost everything Australian (mainly computers, currency (produced in Perth) and keyboard (use Australian keyboard, not British or American)). Finally, Tuvalu still has Elizabeth II as their queen. So may I change the clock from 24 to 12? SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 03:38, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think her Majesty has anything to do with the choice of 12-hour or 24-hour clock, but if you think Tuvaluans use the 12-hour clock, then it should be changed. Ground Zero (talk) 10:10, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Queen only becomes important here since they still pretty much follow the commonwealth for almost everything. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 10:21, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Let's stick with the time format that is actually used in a place, rather than trying to infer that from extraneous information. Quebec is part of the Queen's realms, and uses the 24-hour clock. Inferences can often lead us down the wrong path. Ground Zero (talk) 10:58, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well... regardless if whatever was used here, it wouldn't matter since there's no one listing that mentions opening hours. Quebec is a sort of exception since it was French influenced, not British. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:22, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The point is that there may be some reason that Tuvalu has chosen the 24-hr clock that we don't know about (and I don't know that it has), British influence notwithstanding. Ground Zero (talk) 11:27, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
