GFDL

[edit]

Please be aware that since the images being used in this article are GFDL, they cannot be used on Wikivoyage and have been nominated for deletion. See Project:Why Wikivoyage isn't GFDL and Wikivoyage:Cooperating with Wikipedia for discussions. The Project:Copyleft policy contains additional details, but the quicky summary is that all content must be public domain, licensed with the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 1.0, or dual-licensed GFDL/CC-SA. -- (WT-en) Wrh2 21:46, 8 Jul 2005 (EDT)

O.K. I didn,t saw that... So sorry. Some of the pictures are mine, and I don't mind changing their licence to creative commons. That way there will be no problems. By the way, some photo website have simple mentions such as "these pictures can be copied granted the author name is mentionned. Is this compatible with creative commons? (WT-en) Berru 10:09, 11 Jul 2005 (EDT)

Thanks for the clarification. Regarding content with licenses that might be compatible, I'm not a lawyer, but a good rule of thumb is that if there is any doubt about licensing then you should either contact the author and get explicit permission to use the content under CC-SA, or else just leave the questionable content out. If an image is needed, since this is a wiki it's a good bet that someone will eventually add something that is licensed appropriately.
The Vercors article is coming along nicely, by the way. -- (WT-en) Wrh2 00:07, 12 Jul 2005 (EDT)
Thank you! (WT-en) Berru 11:24, 12 Jul 2005 (EDT)

Get in

[edit]

Hi. This article is looking really good, but I'd like to request a couple of things. First could you add more info about getting in from some slightly more far away places and bigger cities especially in France? Like how do I get there from Lyon or Avignon, or even Paris? How about from Turin or Valle d'Aosta on the other side of the mountains? Or perhaps from Annecy or even Geneva? Can I get there by train?

Thanks! -- (WT-en) Mark 00:38, 12 Jul 2005 (EDT)

That is done! (WT-en) Berru 11:23, 12 Jul 2005 (EDT)

Thanks again. One thing though; I don't drive. Is it impossible to get to Vercors without a car? -- (WT-en) Mark 11:38, 12 Jul 2005 (EDT)
I'm working on that right now. There are train stations in Valence, Grenoble and Die that are well deserved. Nevertheless, from there to the vercors iself, public transportation is scarse. (WT-en) Berru 18:05, 12 Jul 2005 (EDT)
