Do
[edit]- 1 Whanganui Journey. Taumarunui is the start of a 145 km (90 mi) river journey by canoe to Pipiriki. This is a Great Walk, with DoC campsites and huts, which must be booked in advance during the Great walks Season (October - April). The whole journey normally takes 5 days. You could do the first 22 km to Ohinepane Campsite as a day trip if you arranged to be met there.
