Why don't we rename this template to "Warning"? --Saqib (talk) 19:42, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Templates for vandalism, etc.[edit]

Swept in from the pub

I tried searching (I really hate the search function on Wikimedia sites) but found nothing. I'm looking for some standard vandalism templates that can be quickly added to user talk pages after they vandalise. I couldn't find one so ended up using the warningbox template which seemed insufficient. Are there any?--Xania (talk) 23:11, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea, since there are many types of vandalism (including touting), some of which could be resolved amicably if the new user is pointed towards the right guidance.
I'd say just go ahead and create the templates. The wording can adapt over time. Andrewssi2 (talk) 00:55, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Probably more than your really wanted on wikipdeida --Traveler100 (talk) 10:01, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Did go down this road before but was dropped I think due to too many objections. warning template and doc --Traveler100 (talk) 10:05, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Found the discussion about it being too complicated. Result was Template:Unwanted edits, but this appears to have not been used. --Traveler100 (talk) 10:10, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I may give it ago some time. I'll probably copy and adapt a few from Wikibooks.--Xania (talk) 11:43, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
