Separate template for linking IPs?

Right now, we use {{user}} for everything, including IPs, which comes in rather handy for pages like this. Unfortunately, this creates a small issue as IPs are almost always likely to be redlinked and this lacks useful information about IPs such as WHOIS and the like. Any objections to importing m:Template:Vandal and calling it something like "User2" or IP to solve this issue? --SHB2000 (t | c | m) 06:29, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
