By car
[edit]- Interstate 95 (I-95) Melbourne is accessed from exits #212 ("FL Hwy 407 Kennedy Space Center") through #223 ("FL Hwy 46 Sanford Mims") along I-95. There are four exits from I-95 into town. Downtown can be accessed from Exit #220 ("FL Hwy 406 Titusville Historic Dist") from both directions of I-95.
- Washington Ave goes north towards New Smyrna Beach and south towards Port St John, Cocoa, Rockledge, Melbourne and Palm Bay. Goes through town as Washington Ave.
- Cheney Highway Connects Titusville to Orlando through Seminole Ranch and St Johns Wildlife Refuge. It goes through town as Cheney Hwy and ends at its intersection with US Hwy 1 (Washington Ave). It is accessed from I-95 at Exit #215.
- Columbia Blvd Connects from its intersection with FL-50 (Cheney Hwy) and South St, across town, to its terminus in US 1. The roadway continues across the causeway into Cape Canaveral as W NASA Pkwy.
- and . FL-528 connects Cocoa, at 15 mi (24 km) south of town, to Orlando International Airport through the Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area. Going east it goes through Cocoa and becomes FL-A1A upon crossing the Indian River into Cape Canaveral. It is accessed from I-95 at Exit #205. This is the most direct route to Brevard County from Orlando International Airport. From west of the St Johns River (sw of town) FL-528 splits with FL-407 going north/northeast into Titusville as Challenger Memorial Pkwy.
- Atlantic Ave This section of A1A goes from its intersection with Fl-528 (from between Titusville and Cocoa) down through Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, Indiatlantic, Melbourne Beach, Archie Carr Wildlife Refuge and Indian River Lagoon Preserve State Park in Brevard County. US 1 continues the drive up north towards New Smyrna Beach.

- 1 Connects Titusville Government Center to Viera Government Center through Cocoa & Rockledge along US Hwy 1 and S Fisk Blvd (SR-519). Passengers transfer to Rt #29 from the Viera Government Center to reach Melbourne. This route begins/ends in front of the Government Center Building (facing south) on South St (SR 405).
- 5 Continues north to Scottsmoor via Mimms along US Hwy 1. There are no connections to Votrans to continue into Volusia County. Nearest Votran[dead link] stop (#41) is another 10 mi (16 km) north of Scottsmoor at US Hwy 1 and Halifax in Oak Hill. First/last stop for the #5 bus is at Titus Landing south of town. North bound buses go north, through downtown, along Washington St, 1 block east from the Government Center.
