Dhaka edits[edit]

Hi, and thanks a lot for helping out on this site! I restored the "Districts" subheading in the Dhaka article because it's one of the required (and important) sections of a Wikivoyage:Huge city article template, for a city that also has articles for each of x-number of districts.

The other thing I did was to delete the multiple-image template. I realize that could be annoying, so I'm sorry about that. There's a general sense on this site that if you are tempted to put images both on the left and right in order to try to cram them into a section, you are using too many images. They are great images, but it's OK to leave some excellent historical documentation out of the article and let people research Commons and other sites on their own if they like.

Please ask any question you like below, if you like.

All the best,

No problem. I'm still new! I saw a historical image in Mombasa and I thought I can add a few for a big city like Dhaka. I'd appreciate any advice you might have for me, if you do.--AzaanJC (talk) 05:20, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The idea of using good historical images is fine. I'd keep to individual images, though, and put them only where they fit (and there's a traditional preference on this site for default justification, which is on the right side of the page). Right now, it looks like there still is a lot of content in the Dhaka article that needs to be moved to district articles. Huge city articles aren't supposed to have a bunch of templated listings of sights under "See"; instead, there should be a prose summary, with full listings moved to the appropriate district article. There are some cities with "huge city" templates that have Star articles, including Chicago, Copenhagen and Washington, D.C, whose "See" sections could serve as good examples.
