Hello, Caiyenphang! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. Welcome, Wikipedian

[edit]

Selamat datang ke Wikivoyage! Please read Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians and Wikivoyage:What is an article. We don't have articles about individual attractions like national monuments on this site, unless they're huge temple complexes that are destinations in themselves, for example, like Angkor Wat and Borobudur (right, not even Batu Caves, which is covered in a single "See" listing in Kuala Lumpur/North). Also, the district divisions of major cities on this site were arrived at through discussion and consensus, so it's not a good idea to unilaterally start articles about new districts, as you did in Kuala Lumpur/Diamond Triangle. A lot of your work is going to have to be deleted for now, but please start discussions at Talk:Kuala Lumpur if after reading the links I've given you, you believe it's in the interests of travellers to change the districting scheme for Kuala Lumpur for the purpose of this guide.

Terima kasih, and if you have any questions after you've read the links, please ask by posting a reply below.

Yang ihklas,

Also, make sure you read Wikivoyage:Copyleft. Not only does the Wikipedia encyclopedia have different goals from the Wikivoyage travel guide, but it also has its own copyright, which cannot be violated by copy-pasting a bunch of stuff here without crediting the source in your edit summary (which you can type in the "Summary" box below your edit screen) or on the article's talk page. But think long and hard before you copy a bunch of encyclopedic facts from Wikipedia, even with credit. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:19, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Actually, all your work was deleted. Sorry. The content in Diamond Triangle was covered by Kuala Lumpur/Central and Kuala Lumpur/North of City Centre. Please read through the existing Kuala Lumpur article and the articles linked in Kuala Lumpur#Districts. If any travel-relevant information is missing or needs updating in the district articles, please take care of that, and the same with the article for the whole city, except that listings and more detailed information belongs in the district articles. Again, do please reply with any questions. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:34, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

[edit]

Posted to User talk:Caiyenphang and User talk:Kianchin: You have been blocked for an initial period of 3 days for copyvio, ignoring your user talk page and being generally disruptive. If you'd like to appeal for a shortened block, reply at User talk:Caiyenphang, stating that you have read Wikivoyage:Copyleft, Wikivoyage:What is an article and my remarks about districting, discussion and consensus and intend to do your best to abide by them. If you use another sockpuppet account or IP to evade this block in order to make the same kinds of edits that have already gotten you block, your block will become permanent. I hope you decide to be collaborative and constructive, because I believe you have knowledge to share. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:11, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, User:Caiyenphang. Thanks for coming back and doing some more editing, but please read external links, WV:Links to Wikipedia and Wikivoyage and Wikitravel. We don't ever use ref tags on this site, we don't use inline links to Wikipedia except in very limited situations, and please never link or use text from Wikitravel, in view of the history of litigation between that site and Wikimedia. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:48, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Okay Mr. Ikan Kekek. Gonna remove all links now, thanks for letting me know. Caiyenphang (talk) 06:28, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I removed them again. I'm glad you posted here. I didn't see this at first and briefly blocked you. Please make sure to look at edit summaries when your edits are reverted. You can see them when you click the "View history" tab at the upper right of any page. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:32, 23 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
