Hello, Dbee01! Thank you for contributing to Wikivoyage, but please note that one or more of your recent edits has been reverted as it appeared to be an attempt to use this site to advertise or promote a business or service. Wikivoyage is created by travellers for travellers, and while business owners and employees are welcome to contribute, use of this site for promotional purposes is not allowed.

If you feel that your edits were incorrectly identified as promotional, please read Wikivoyage's guidelines on identifying promotional edits. If, after reading that guideline, you still feel your edits were incorrectly removed, please use this talk page or the talk page of the article where your edit was removed to explain why your change was not promotional. Note that it is very important that you discuss your proposed change before re-adding it since repeated promotional edits can lead to a temporary block of your account's ability to edit Wikivoyage, and in serious cases the business in question may be blacklisted from Wikivoyage. hi Ibaman,
Understood. Thanks. How about I change the content to something more neutral ie.
"The Rebel City Walking Tour of Cork: your tour guide - Dara. Takes you on a 80 min walking tour of the city. Hear tales of heroes and villains from Cork's Rebel past!" Dbee01 (talk) 06:55, 21 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Rebel's guide to Cork city inclusion?

[edit]

Hi Guys,

My name is Dara, I'm a professional tour guide in Cork city. I've created my own local's guide to Cork that includes tons of info on the city. Would it be worthy of incluson WikiVoyage? Feedback welcome.

Thanks,

The site's policy on tours is at Wikivoyage:Listings#Tour_listings. This has been somewhat controversial; many changes have been suggested & a few made. One example: Wikivoyage_talk:Listings/Archive_2020#Tours_again.
As for your guide to Cork, linking to it probably does not work, see Wikivoyage:External_links#What_not_to_link_to. Almost certainly parts of it would be useful if added here, but WV uses a Wikivoyage:Copyleft license and anything you post here must be released under that license, allowing anyone to use & modify it.
On the other hand, if anything here (or on Wikipedia or Commons) would be useful in or alongside your guide, then the license allows that with attribution more-or-less the only requirement. Pashley (talk) 12:34, 21 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
hi Pashley,
Thanks. There's already a tour listed on 5he Cork page?
  • Cork City Tours operate a hop-on hop-off bus tour of the city, as well as excursions out to the Jameson Distillery, Mizen Head, and Ring of Kerry. These run May-Sept, and in 2023 the city tour is €18 adult, €16 conc, €7 child.
