Hello Djh918! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you are a Wikipedian then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:

It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the travellers' pub or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!

Thanks very much for your helpful edits to the Sioux City article! However, please have a look at Wikivoyage:Links to Wikipedia. As stated above, listings should have primary links to websites for the attraction or business itself. Inline links to Wikipedia are not used on this site.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask them by replying below.

All the best,

I've added the {{listing}} template to the Sioux City#Do listings; a WP link from that template is certainly legit, although we likely would also want direct contact info (address, telephone, official website, possibly also the city name if something's in "North Sioux City" or "South Sioux City" - and therefore across a state line from "Sioux City" IA). Thanks again for adding so much content! I'm going to stay out of your hair for a little while, but please be aware that default address info (e.g., in the Sioux City article, Sioux City, IA 51101) is omitted from address tabs on this site, which is why I've deleted it with the edit summary "-default address info". The policy of omitting this default information may be a mistake, but if you'd like to argue that it is, please do so at Wikivoyage talk:Listings. Hi, I undid your edit adding zip codes and other extraneous address information to listings on Sioux City. Please have a look at the following policy page to understand why: Wikivoyage:Postal codes (and maybe read and acknowledge the other people here saying very similar things; we're only trying to help). Thanks, and please don't take this as a criticism on your otherwise brilliant editing. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 23:14, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
A discussion on a related topic looks to already be open at Wikivoyage:Travellers' pub#Add a "default address info" field to listings - could we keep all these questions in one place instead of starting a new thread on another project talk page? K7L (talk) 02:41, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I've stopped adding those zip codes. I'm admittedly new to this but I got the message. Djh918 (talk) 15:21, 14 February 2018 (UTC)DJH918[reply]
