Hello, GuchuanYanyi! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Thank you for starting the Manazuru article. I have made a few edits to fit the style and conventions of this site, but please do not let that put you off adding more information. --Traveler100 (talk) 07:03, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome. Sincerely yours. GuchuanYanyi (talk) 11:15, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization[edit]

Hello, and thanks for all of the great content you're adding! Small point, but foods like pasta, pizza, sashimi and sushi aren't normally capitalized, as they're generic nouns. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:39, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your advice! GuchuanYanyi (talk) 22:03, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You bet. Thanks for your work! Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:12, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Galleries[edit]

Hello, GuchuanYanyi, and thanks again for your work! I greatly appreciate your enthusiasm for adding thumbnails to help people understand places they may choose to visit. However, this site does have a guideline (admittedly a somewhat loose one) recommending minimal use of images and specifically restricting the use of galleries. I wouldn't interpret "minimal use of images" literally, but when you are using galleries and have photos on the right and left at the same time, you are using more images than the guidelines are recommending. Don't forget that we provide Commons links so that people who want to can go there and look at all the photos of the category for a town if they want to. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:44, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your advice. I will gradually improve it to an appropriate form in the future. GuchuanYanyi (talk) 22:33, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Use of ALL CAP text[edit]

Hi, GuchuanYanyi, and thanks again for so diligently adding content! A point of style: ALL CAP text like you used here is not used on this site, except for acronyms like UNESCO. Normal capitalization should be used.

Let me know if you have any questions.

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:37, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Since the hotel independently registers English names in all capital letters style, I posted accurately. Changing it may be confusing.GuchuanYanyi (talk) 10:31, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can it really? Would that affect any searches? Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:26, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For example,XROSS,DiCE is correct. But HOTEL ROUTE- INN, It is better to improve.GuchuanYanyi (talk) 22:11, 23 October 2017 (UTC) GuchuanYanyi (talk) 22:11, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I trust your judgment. I hoped to refer you to some Wikivoyage guidelines. However, I found nothing conclusive, but rather this thread. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:21, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I will refer to it. Thank you GuchuanYanyi (talk) 11:22, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to participate in that discussion; it's not really a reference that can serve as much of a guide. Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:49, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
