Hello, Madhuguddana! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

Hi, your contributions to Wikivoyage are very welcome, but we have a little problem. It has come to my attention that some or all of your work at Kushalnagar has been copied from Wikipedia and other websites. Unfortunately, because we have a strict Copyleft licence, we cannot republish content from other non-free (i.e. copyrighted) sources, such as Hello Travel and Facebook. We can republish information from Wikipedia, as it has the same licence as us, as long as attribution is provided (i.e. you state that you've copied from Wikipedia, in an edit summary or on the article's talk page), but this is generally not a great solution because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and we are a travel guide so both our goals and writing style are quite different.

I would like to ensure we keep as much as we can of your contributions, but in order to do this, can you please let us know, either here or at Talk:Kushalnagar, how much content you wrote yourself and how much you copied from other sources? Without that information, we're probably going to have to delete the whole article, which is not what we want. If you could help us out, that would be really appreciated.

Furthermore, I hope you decide to carry on editing Wikivoyage. We need knowledgeable people like you writing original content and helping us grow to be the best free travel guide on the web. Best wishes, ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 20:24, 2 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
