Hello, Martinogk! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Thanks for your edit on León (Nicaragua). If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on my talk page, this page or in the pub! Hobbitschuster (talk) 22:22, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Hobbitschuster: Thank you for your kind welcome. Hope I can be of some help. Martinogk (talk) 04:41, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Please be careful not to copy any text from other sources - especially not if they are copyrighted. I'm pretty sure you didn't, but some of the stuff you wrote seemed to sound a bit like Lonely Planet (not that that would be so different from our WV:Tone). But anyway, thanks for your contributions. You are correct. I have not copied text from other sources. I find it most meaningful to contribute information based on my own local knowledge, and I only use other sources for certain facts such as geographical coordinates (from Google Maps), a historical date (from Wikipedia or my Spanish language Nicaraguan guide book), or current hotel prices (from the web site of the establishment in question). okay. Thanks again for your contributions. Local knowledge is the best source of all. Do you happen to know whether the ferry from Granada to Ometepe and on to San Carlos is running again? My latest information is that its operations are "suspended" and the website of the Nicaraguan port administration steadfastly refuses to admit it's not running. Unfortunatly, I do not know. Glad you are trying hard to find out. Martinogk (talk) 03:56, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Are you currently in Nicaragua? Hobbitschuster (talk) 16:23, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
