Hello, Petefarrand! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

If a business is closed, you can simply remove the listing altogether. Thanks. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 19:50, 29 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Malaga article

[edit]

hey, you changed that the regional buses are not operated but controlled by CTMAM. For the traveller that sounds confusing. And for the traveller it's not really relevant which entity controls a regional bus, but who operates or runs it.

Additionally I cannot see these edits being minor edits:

"spelling corrections, grammar, or formatting changes are "minor", and changes to the real information on a page are not." per WV:How to edit a page. 47.62.236.171 11:31, 1 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

I hadn't completely finished editing that sub-section and probably won't do so until I have visited Málaga again (soon) .
In most European counties there is a local government 'controlled' organisation that co-ordinates public transport over a given area. The Consorcio de Transporte Metropolitano del Área de Málaga (CTMAM) provides that function in the Málaga province. As far as I am aware they do not operate any services.
For the city area the dominant operator is EMT which supplies information about their own services and that is listed separately.
Outside the city there are several operators that are listed on the CTMAM webpage linked in the article and the timetables are also available there. I don't think there is any point in listing the individual operators.
I am guilty on doing the other edits and forgetting to save them individually. Petefarrand (talk) 18:28, 2 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
