Hello, Reinowis! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Thanks for your edits to Ben Tre, but please explain why you are inputting listing tags. Wikivoyage does not use listing tags, but Wikitravel does. I hope you are not copying content wholesale from Wikitravel and overwriting Wikivoyage content. If so - and even more so because you did so without comment or credit in editing summaries - your edits will have to be reverted. Also, small point, but Wikivoyage style is to capitalize only the first word in subtitles, so "By bus", "By boat".

I'll look forward to your reply.

Please note that although not totally wrong it is not encouraged to simple copy data for Wikitravel. In particular listing syntax and section titles are not the same on this site. --Traveler100 (talk) 09:04, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it is in fact totally out of keeping with Wikivoyage's Copyleft policy to copy anything from any site without acknowledging the source, which is why I posted what I did in the section immediately above this one. Moreover, if what is copied without credit from Wikivoyage was written in any part by a user other than the one copying it here, it would be a violation of Wikitravel's Copyleft, with potential consequences best not mentioned, but I would encourage User:Reinowis to read Wikivoyage and Wikitravel, especially the "Can I copy content between Wikivoyage and Wikitravel?" section, for a bit of background. RESPONSE[edit]

First, sorry for copying the content from wikitravel to here. But i'm pretty sure that Most of the content on wikitravel page of Ben Tre and the lasted updated information were written by me. Do i need to rewrite it again with another style of writing? It's really weird to write by same people. I will edit the wikivoyage page of Ben Tre in the format of Wikivoyage as soon as possible. I knew about Wikitravel first, so I contributed information there first. I'm from Ben Tre, was born here and have been living here more than 21 years. So I'm sure that I must to know it better than others who wrote outdated and incorrect information about Ben Tre. —The preceding comment was added by Reinowis (talkcontribs)

Thanks for your response. On talk pages, please sign your posts by typing 4 tildes in a row (the ~ key) at the end.
Please check the history of the corresponding Wikitravel article to make sure these words are all really by you. That might sound onerous, but there are legal issues with copying anyone else's work without crediting it. Otherwise, thank you for updating. Updating with content that was used first on Wikitravel is a double-edged sword, though, because Google imposes a penalty on pages that they judge to be copies of other pages. So some degree of paraphrasing would be appreciated, and also any additional content you add that isn't also on Wikitravel would be helpful.
All the best,
