Some ideas

You could add to the comedy of errors that are DB's attempt to run a London service (they ran a "trial run" before the 2012 London Olympics for crying out loud!) and SNCF's even more desperate attempts to find ways to exclude DB that wouldn't violate the letter of EU law... Or how the "private business" that is Eurotunnel (sorry, Getlink) has cost the public purse far more than building it with state money to begin with - and they still charge excessive track access charges, making flying cheaper in some cases... @Hobbitschuster: I'll let you talk about Getlink when it's moved to main, as you know more about it. DB has already been mentioned under Train services; as it stands, it seems a new proposal to run Bordeaux-London TGVs will launch before ICEs are even confirmed.--ThunderingTyphoons!
