Tip
[edit]Tip: In the article for Los Banos, for example, skip putting "Los Banos" and the zip code in the address field. We just assume the listing is in Los Banos. -- Cjensen (talk) 18:32, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
Use of Wikivoyage for marketing/promotion not allowed
[edit]It appears that you are employed for a hotel or marketer, so please note that per recent changes to Wikivoyage guidelines, use of Wikivoyage for marketing or promotion is no longer allowed - see SEO for details. While it is fine if you want to correct incorrect URLs or addresses, adding listings for a hotel is not allowed due to conflicts of interest. If you have a question you can ask on this talk page or in the Pub. -- Ryan • (talk) • 17:57, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- I'd like to reiterate the message above - due to conflict of interest concerns, marketers should no longer add new listings to Wikivoyage or change subjective information in existing listings when the listing in question is one that you have a commercial relationship with. You are welcome to correct factual inaccuracies to phone numbers, URLs, etc. If you have questions you can ask them on this talk page or in the Pub. -- Ryan • (talk) • 20:35, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
