Not an article but a hostel listing. --(WT-en) Burmesedays 01:38, 13 December 2009 (EST)

- Might be worth keeping as a redirect to Seoul? (WT-en) Jpatokal 02:29, 18 December 2009 (EST)
- Outcome: Redirected to Seoul. --(WT-en) Burmesedays 21:48, 31 January 2010 (EST)
- Delete. Do we really want this sort of nonsense at Wikitavel? I like bananas. Should I create a template? --(WT-en) Burmesedays 10:48, 3 February 2010 (EST)
TBDDelete. Per Project:Using Mediawiki templates templates should generally be discussed prior to creation. If we want to encourage user page banners then this template might be valid, but if that's not something we want to do then the template should be deleted. My personal preference is that these banners wouldn't hurt (they work nicely for the current language banners) but it would be best to standardize how we create them and organize them, etc so we can try to keep them travel-related and don't end up with a bunch of "I like bananas" templates. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 11:02, 3 February 2010 (EST)- Delete. We've discussed these before, and if we're going to start using them, we need to forge a consensus to do so. FWIW I still don't think this is a good thing to encourage, and I certainly don't want to see it crowd up the template space. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 12:46, 3 February 2010 (EST)
- Do you have a link to that discussion? If there is an existing consensus not to allow user-page banners then this one would be an obvious delete, but I'm clearly getting old and didn't immediately find anything. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 12:53, 3 February 2010 (EST)
- There is some here and here. My more general point though, is that this isn't something we've been doing, and the only appropriate way to introduce new practices is through consensus (be it tacit or explicit). --(WT-en) Peter Talk 13:17, 3 February 2010 (EST)
- Thanks - I was dreading that despite having no memory of any previous discussions on this topic that I would have contributed to them, and such was the case... I'd agree with deleting the current template, particularly since it isn't travel-related, but the userbox discussion might be worth revisiting (granted, on a limited basis) since they are popular on Wikipedia and, particularly with the license change, it would be good to find more ways to encourage Wikipedia users to contribute here. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 13:25, 3 February 2010 (EST)
- Fair enough. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 13:29, 3 February 2010 (EST)

- Delete I oppose these banners because WT is not facebook nor userpages from Wikipedia (they come close to Facebook sometimes). We are driven by the interest of travelling not a social community page. (WT-en) jan 05:18, 4 February 2010 (EST)
- Delete Do we really want people who like soccer on Wikivoyage? I think not. --(WT-en) inas 05:59, 4 February 2010 (EST)
- Spoken like a true Australian :). Would "I like Lamingtons" be more to your liking?--(WT-en) Burmesedays 06:05, 4 February 2010 (EST)
- Delete It was created by an user coming over from Wikipedia where this kind of vanity exists. --(WT-en) Vlad 11:12, 11 February 2010 (EST)
Speedy. Picture of a resort shack. And a very unnattractive one. --(WT-en) Burmesedays 08:06, 14 February 2010 (EST)
- Speedy close; it's on Shared. (WT-en) LtPowers 10:11, 14 February 2010 (EST)
- This user has been uploading to and spamming both Shared and the English version, and any further (re)uploads should be speedied. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 16:48, 14 February 2010 (EST)
Fairly obvious I think. Can we speedy this? (I'm really starting to wonder if I should just put in for an Admin nomination... Would make life so much easier for me!) (WT-en) Nrms 08:52, 15 February 2010 (EST)
- Speedied Not a valid travel topic and already second time deleted. (WT-en) jan 09:00, 15 February 2010 (EST)
- Speedied (too) I think you certainly qualify, but after a half year hiatus, I think you should wait a month or two, for a smoother proccess. --(WT-en) Stefan (sertmann) talk 09:02, 15 February 2010 (EST)
- The joys of working with bureaucracy. Hopefully should be a little more settled now that most of the paperwork has been sorted. But only time will tell! Anyway, thanks for the speedies. (WT-en) Nrms 09:05, 15 February 2010 (EST)
