Gensingen is a village of 400 people (2018) in the Naheland. Its evangelical church has an historic stub organ.

The place was first mentioned in a deed of donation on November 1, 768, when Faginolf gave the Lorsch Abbey everything he had in the Ggau district of Nahegau.

On the B41 between Bad Kreuznach and Ingelheim. Only a few kilometres from the Autobahn taking junction 50 or 51 of the A61.
The rail station is on the Bingen - Worms line. Trains from the Nahetalbahn and the Rheinhessenbahn stop at the train station in Gensingen.
