Hasimara (or Hashimara) is a small town in Jalpaigiri district.

Although a picturesque little town surrounded by tea plantations, Hasimara's main interest to travellers is the town's railway station. It is nearest rail head to the Bhutanese border town of Phuentsholing, a thirty minute journey by road.

Hasimara is on the main Siliguri to Guwahati line.Trains having stoppages at Hasimara includes Kanchankanya express (13149) from Kolkata (Sealdah station), Capital Express (13248) from Patna and Mahananda Express (14084) from Delhi as well as numerous regional and local trains.
By bus
There are frequent buses from Silguri (a three to four hour journey). All buses destined for Phuentsholing or Jaigaon stop here. It's a 17 km road to Jaigan, and nearly 180 km to Thimpu.
