Clermont is a city in Lake County, Florida, just over 20 miles (32 km) west of Orlando. While the city is small and primarily residential, it is home to a handful of landmarks and offbeat attractions that make it a stop worth considering when in the area. In 2019, the population was about 39,000, an increase of 10,000 over nine years. The city quadrupled its population from 2000 to 2019.

LakeXpress goes just over the county line into Orange County where passengers continue further in on Lynx buses. LakeXpress does not serve any of the SunRail Stations. These routes are not connected to other LakeXpress routes in the northern part of the county in Leesburg, Eustis, Mount Dora, etc.

A 4,372-acre (17.69 km²) Florida State Park in the northeast corner of the Green Swamp and the southwestern shore of Lake Louisa. It is made up of bald cypress, live oak and saw palmettos. In addition to Lake Louisa, the park contains Hammond Lake, Dixie Lake, Dude Lake and Bear Lake. Activities include swimming, picnicking, horeseback riding, hiking, camping, fishing, and canoeing. Amenities include a canoe/kayak ramp, 16 miles (26 km) of equestrian trails, and a primitive equestrian campground, as well as a 0.5-mile (0.80 km) nature trail, 20 miles (32 km) of hiking trails, fishing pier, canoe/kayak launch, and a picnic pavilion.
