- A total solar eclipse on Monday 8 April 2024 starts at 1:44PM local time and lasts 4 min. Chances of a clear sky are 40%. The track of totality is northeast from Mexico to enter the US at Del Rio then through Texas into Arkansas.
- Edison Phonograph Museum, 213 N Madison Ave, ☏ +1 903 577-8183. M-F 10AM-6PM, Sa 10AM-3PM. A private collection of early phonographs (record players) and sound recordings. Located in the basement of the former city library.
- Dr. Pepper mural, E 1st St at Jefferson Ave (northeast corner, on the side of Jo's Antiques). One of the largest Dr. Pepper murals in existence. Dr. Pepper had once been bottled in downtown Mount Pleasant.
