Disambiguator
[edit]I know that many cities in Germany (semi-)officially use rivers as disambiguators, however, this is not the usual way things are disambiguated on WV. If the official and legal name of this place is Alfeld (Leine) or Alfeld an der Leine, we could argue about that, but otherwise we should not abandon the usual disambiguation logic willy-nilly. Or is there something I am not seeing here? Hobbitschuster (talk) 16:57, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Hobbitschuster: "Alfeld (Leine)" is the official name. --RJFF (talk) 19:40, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
- Official how? Official as in "On the yellow town sign"? Official as in "what you have to enter at bahn.de for DB to find the station"? Official as in, the mayor is no called "(Ober)Bürgermeister von Alfeld" but "(Ober)Bürgermeister von Alfeld (Leine)"? Hobbitschuster (talk) 22:08, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- It is a commonly used convention even on the town web site. --Traveler100 (talk) 05:07, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
